Another strong release to be added to Remission’s flawless discography!
Remission once again makes it clear we shouldn’t be focusing on bands from the USA only. Just as much (maybe more) good things are happening everywhere.
They have been around since 2008 but the band might not be known to the majority out there. Time for a chat with frontman Philippe Arama.
Remission took a little hiatus after their 2011 US Tour to give preference to their indie-rock side project, Invierno which released an LP on Amendment early this year. Check that record out at our bandcamp page (link is below). “Pain Understood” summarizes a new spectrum of influences which drive them farther away from traditional … Continue reading REMISSION- Pain Understood 7" EP OUT NOW! Rented World sounds like the record of a band trying out new things and losing grip on what made them so good in the first place.

Thanks for the support in 2011 people. Before we’re entering 2012 we would like to look back a final time. Time for the infamous yearlists.
Back from the US, here’s what was in my suitcase and my mailbox. Some of that stuff was traded or given to me. But I’ll probably won’t buy records for a while now, I have so much to listen to! Common Cause – Self Titled 7” (test press) Contra Todos Mis Miedos – Cólera 7” … Continue reading Reply To: Shoplifters of the world, unite and take over (or which records did you buy?)
Amendment Records are releasing the Vampiresong LP form SHIELD on vinyl for the first time, such a great record!
SHIELD- Vampiresongs LP (AMEND: 10) Obscure gem from the mid-nineties Umea HC scene. Yes, they came from the same scene as Refused, Final Exit, Abhinanda, and many more. Every band from this scene seemed to … Continue reading SHIELD- Vampiresongs LP + shirt pre-order (Umea HC 1995)
Blindside was really afwul live, but that song online sounds great. I’d like to do an interview with Remission. Don’t know if they still qualify as new breed since they started out in 2008. Chile might be an interesting topic to talk about.
ah! I wanted to talk about the South-American Hardcore scene too haha! That’s the most exciting scene right now, Remission, Columnas, Contra Todos Mis Miedos, En Mi Defensa, Reconcile, Entrefuego, Invierno, La Miseria de tu Rostro… so many good bands!
Today I hurt my foot at work, I can’t walk properly. so I’m quite happy all these zines showed up to keep me company this weekend: Free State #1 (MDHC: TUI, Next Step Up, Mindset, In Between, Sacred Love, Peace…) Thinking Cap #8 (Remission) Jerk Store #9 (TOO MANY DAVES, EMBRACE, THE HUNGUPS, JOYCE MANOR, … Continue reading Reply To: Shoplifters of the world, unite and take over (or which records did you buy?)
Pim loved every previous issue and he doesn’t think issue #5 will be any different.
