I used to set up the Light The Fuse fest and thought it would be cool to take a trip down memory lane with a mixtape for SWNK.
I was just thinking about when I first started to go to hc shows and I thought it’d be fun to read stories from others about their first hc show.. 10 years ago I started going to local shows in Uden, Mill, Boxmeer etc.. I don’t exactly know what the ‘first hc show’ was but … Continue reading First show stories.
No Way Out are from Melbourne, Australia and play devastatingly heavy hardcore that will make you want to arm wrestle Robocop.
First show was when some guys from my town who were a lot older than me at the time (I must have been 14 or something) organised a hardcore fest at our local youth centre. About 8 bands played, amongst them Reaching Forward, Reveal, Uppercut and Mainstrike i think…
No clue. I used to only go to punkrock shows in the mid/late nineties, so i’ve might have seen hardcore bands then, but i didn’t know there was a difference 😀 Probably something local in the Rotterdam area, probably with NTB, Uppercut, Reaching Forward or something like that, i guess that was the line up … Continue reading Reply To: First show stories.

Sounds good! Doesn’t have to be small by the way. You could ask him a lot about his art etc as well. You can ask about Uppercut and Astro Zombies etc. etc. If you don’t feel like it, I could make it an in-depth one?
Misterman: good choices. Thanks to people who contributed, it gives me a lot of good ideas for my playlist For kill your idols I changed the song to “Hardcore Circa 2002”; I think it fits the topic pretty good, and it’s a good song to start the compilation 🙂 We miss only 5 songs!!! Any … Continue reading Reply To: Best 100 songs of 00
The best punkrock band out there, since Green Day turned into an opera machine, that guy from Screeching Weasel lost his mind and the Descendents went into semi-retirement.
Two pool tables, a few bar stools, 150 sweaty people and a little band called Biohazard made for an unforgettable ZLHC Party.
