Dutch punk rockers New Pokerface fold their hand

Dutch punk rockers New Pokerface fold their hand

Dutch punk rock outfit New Pokerface have decided to call it a day after 6 years, 2 ep’s and a full length album. According to the band, they could no longer afford the time or effort to take the band to the next level. An official statement was issued on the band’s website:

“The last couple of months we worked on new material for what should have been our next full-length album. A lot of songs were completed but unfortunately, things turned out differently. We wanted to create the best record in our career, but with that in mind we had to conclude that we couldn’t bring up the time and effort needed to reach that goal. So, we have decided to call it quits. There haven’t been any personal conflicts or anything else of the sort, we each just feel differently about the role that our band should play in our personal lives.

We’ll always keep on making music, but for now there aren’t any music plans for any of us.”

New Pokerface will play their final show at the Breda Barst festival in their home town on September 15th 2012.
