EARTH CRISIS to Celebrate 20th Anniversary of ‘Destroy The Machines’

This year, 2015, marks the 20th anniversary for EARTH CRISIS’ influential debut full-length album “Destroy The Machines.” To commemorate this occasion, the band will be playing the album in its entirety at an upcoming show in Detroit this week.

EARTH CRISIS guitarist Scott Crouse had this to say, “It’s a cliche thing to say, but it really does feel like only yesterday we were writing and recording ‘Destroy The Machines’. When we play the album live it doesn’t feel like dated material to us, and I think the record is still very relevant today.”

The band recently released ‘The Discipline’ which featured two re-recorded songs from ‘Destroy The Machines’, and two songs off unreleased demos.

When asked about bringing EARTH CRISIS to Detroit, Dave Melkonian, show coordinator and member of reformed Detroit hardcore unit RICOCHET, said, “When we decided we would reunite, we wanted to make a big splash with the headliner, and we have fond memories of the Syracuse scene of the early 1990’s. EARTH CRISIS was really rising to prominence at that time there and I felt they would be a great fit for this celebration, if you will, of old friends reuniting and new friends seeing pieces of these older bands’ history.”
