Not being really familiar with the sound of both bands, I guess I took a bit of a risk picking this split to review…

Shrine is from Sweden and makes a crusty version of Mastodon with screaming vocals.
Hopes prove they still got it and release their second great EP with Wake up.

Lifes is blasting you away in ten minutes.
In the upcoming weeks we’re going to turn the tables now and then and do short interviews with the people that bring you SWNK, to give you an idea who we are and where we come from. First up is Callum (Canonized) from the UK.
On the longer term I think this record isn’t gonna stand a chance against the Rancid classics. But for a new record it’s more than a good shot!
What can I say about this DVD? It has Bad Brains footage on it. One of the most important bands in hardcore ever.
Static Void is a new straight edge band from Germany featuring ex-members of Sirens a.o playing Quicksand, Helmet etc inspired hardcore.
