Hooking Up – Groin Pains
Hooking Up from Virginia (USA) probably doesn’t sound like a slower, more punk, more lo-fi Weezer & The Presidents Of The United States combination jamming with Beck (remember Loser?). But that’s what came into my mind. And it’s meant as a compliment, because I love both. And now I’m going to keep an eye on Hooking Up too, to see where they go from here.
Aside from the fact these songs are really catchy, get stuck inside your head rightaway and that the lo-fi sound works perfectly for them I don’t have much to say about this, so yes this is going to be a rather short review.
