Praise – Lights Went Out

Praise – Lights Went Out

Ever since the release of their first 7″ Praise were onto something good. Not a refreshing sound, but a well executed own version of a sound not often heard in the past couple of years. Call it Revolution Summer or the best of Dischord, whatever it is Praise always stood out among other straight edge bands for their more melodic and ’emotional’ appeal.

Without rushing things the band has quietly worked on their best recorded material yet: Lights Went Out.  A full length that fits in with the best work of Dag Nasty and later Turning Point.

This album just doesn’t disappoint. Heartfelt lyrics, great songwriting and a production that leaves some breathing room for all the instruments.
