Just to be sure: You have to like the post on Facebook, not this post on SWNK itself. (and like us and De Kelder too while you’re at it)
That’s all there is to it.
The contest will be open until Monday the 24th of June and we’ll randomly pick two winners. We’ll be in touch if you’ve won.

Why are all the contests here on SWNK so extremely lame? Why can’t it be a contest where we can use some creativity? I do not have facebook, and I do not have twitter. So the only way for me to get a chance at some tickets is or to buy them, or become part of some stupid social media company that doesn’t respect my privacy and that is filled with idiots who think that they are so fucking important that they have to share all there activities, including there food, shit and ugly kids, with the rest of the world.
Because we’re extremely lame people, unlike you 😉
What kinda creativity did you have in mind? We’re always open to options. Not saying we’re going to change things, but feedback’s always welcome. One route we’re definitely not going is the “Let’s ask a question everybody knows the answer to”-route though. That’s an insult to to our readers.
I personally don’t see a problem with this whatsoever. You refuse to join Facebook, Twitter for principal reasons. That’s totally fine. Kudos to you. That does mean however that there are some things you will be left out though. That’s your choice.
And you do understand giveaways like this are a way to promote the venue / band / company whatever giving away the stuff right? They usually don’t do that kinda stuff from the goodness of their hearts 😉
Maybe my reaction was a little bit harsh, I had a rather grumpy start of the day, and I do not think you guys are lame. Sorry for that.
I agree, simple questions that everyone can answer are indeed not solution. But maybe a photo contest. As in, make a photo from yourself in your favorite, in this case, Anti Flag shirt while your doing something funny. Or make a 30 second video explaining why you are the cool or poor kid who deserves the tickets.
I do not say that these are great ideas, but maybe you can get some inspiration for a really really exciting contest. 😛
Again this is just an advice, do whatever you like.
Oh no worries, you don’t need to say sorry at all. We can take it 😉 Like I said, we’re open to feedback.
The thing is, (most) people are lazy these days. Making a 30 second video will probably be a bit too much work for people (And it doesn’t solve your Facebook / Twitter problem either by the way 😉 Or are you okay with YouTube (owned by Google) having your info ? ;)). Which will result in less people participating / which is less promotion for the people giving stuff away. A photo thing could work, but even something like that raises the bar to participate. I doubt people do that for 2 tickets to a show, but maybe I’m being pessimistic (or spoiled haha)?
I would love to hear more from people reading this. What do you think? What would work for you? Want us to keep doing it like it is (minimal effort required on your end) or do you like to see more creative giveaways (where you have to work a little bit for the prize)?
