Do It Yourself – Vinyl pressing plants

Remember those DIY series we did? On running a label, doing a zine, putting up a show and photographing at shows? Here’s a new addition, a list of worldwide vinyl pressing plants. Thanks for all your suggestions on Facebook and in our forums. Anyway, do you play in a band that wants to release their music on vinyl yourself? Or are you running a label that wants to release a record in vinyl? This list might come up useful.

Feel free to add suggestions and your experience with these pressing plants in the comments. Good pressing plants should get more work, and well, bad pressing plants should be avoided right?

Thanks a lot! Working and relevant links have been added!

Worked with Ameise but had to wait for ages to recieve the records.
    Looks fine though.
But instead of the 6 weeks they said it would take, it took 2/3 months

Stuff like that can really fuck up (a) releaseshow(s).

      • Just Killing Time said on 2013-02-07

Hahaha, we’ve all been to (many of) those release shows…

You can say that again haha. Damn. I think we were lucky though. We always had our stuff on the release shows, but it might have happened that we didn’t have a record on tour that we hoped to have with us or something. If my memory serves me right that is.

The Screw Houston Start Screaming! 7″ was done by Disc Manufacturing Services from the UK.

    It looks and sounds great!
They really worked fast and were very helpful.
And after everything was done we got the vinyl within 5 weeks.

So I can recommend them! Good pricing too.

Can highly recommend Disc Wizards in the UK, they can turnaround in about 3-4 weeks with 100 units being their minimum. Always fast email replies from them, and the final product – just gorgeous.
