hardcore bands, except for SOIA, should never play long, but 30-45 minutes for a headlining band is the least they can play. support bands 25 minutes or so

When it comes to hardcore my max is at 25 minutes. Why play a longer set? Just pour all your energy into those 25 minutes and you leave a better impression than when you have to divide the same amount of energy over a set of 60 minutes.

I’m perfectly fine with most bands playing less than 5 minutes, but 12 minutes for a headliner is kinda short right. Gotta agree with Rik there.

You don’t think it weird for a band to ask (just a random example) 250 euros for a 15 minute set? Even if they have “their reasons”, that’s still a rip off, right?

A promoter can, in most cases, easily find out how long a band’s set aprox. is….. 15-20 minutes is totally normal for hardcore, unless it’s something huge like SOIA or Madball or whatever, i don’t know what to say…..i’s rather leave a show wanting more, than have a band play too long/lose energy.
