The book focuses on the heavier side of hardcore. And while it’s well-written and looks great, it could have been even better.

You can skip de Waaghals for hc/punk but they do have a great second hand selection if you are into pop/country/rock/psych/folk etc. Da Capo is always nice although the guy who works there nowadays told me that they don’t get new stuff. GREAT recordstore: UNDERDOG in Koln/cologne!
