It’s not often that a band comes back with a solid release after a few years of absence. But Trips is an exception to that rule.
A 3rd wave of youth crew seems to be far away but as long as there is one quality release each year I’m not complaining.
Not much has changed to be honest. The background is gone, the logo was slightly updated and some of the blue headings / comment blocks are grey now. Making the images stand out more. Weezer ruled in ’94 so the five songs You Blew It! covered do not top the originals. They are better than ‘Back to the Shack’ though.
Finally new music from Drums are for Parades and it is adventurous to say the least. Sardonis also rocks out but in a less surprising way.
Talbot sounds like being punched in the face by a mammoth on ‘Scaled’, no lies there.
