Watched Daglicht (Daylight) today. Very good for Dutch thriller (and that’s coming from someone who s not particularly fond of Dutch movies…people always talk weird, real life people don’t talk like that). Plays out a bit like one of those above average late 90’s/early zero’s psychthrillers starring, say, Sandra Bullock. Most of it’s rather improbable … Continue reading Reply To: Movies / TV shows part II
Vincent (Rise And Fall) talks about all things Soulslayer: selling merch, releasing records and more.
The Dillinger Escape Plan sold out Bibelot, Dordrecht on their summer tour and played a rewarding set. Support by Raketkanon (BE).
The top and bottom of Groezrock 2012. Terror vs Refused, Verse going Jah and many stage-dives for Gorilla Biscuits.
My first proper hc show was relatively recent. I’d seen Darkest Hour and Between the Buried and Me back in 2005 at Yeovil Ski Lodge, but it was really different to the last Ninjafest in 2007 (first London show). I’d been listening to Knuckledust, SFD, In Blood We Trust for a couple of years but … Continue reading Reply To: First show stories.
Heresy by From Hell is released by Paper + Plastic, who now have every right to rename themselves to Steel + Concrete, ’cause this is some heavy stuff!

Swan Dive brings something completely different from what you would expect based on the band members other bands, but they pull it off just great!
Instead of posting a reply, I apparently edited an older post, time to hit the bed I guess.. Here’s the post that now also can be found a couple of posts above: Sorry guys, been really busy. This very original mix of a more punk Against Me!, Jawbreaker and a hint of Dillinger Four produced the most inventive and original punkrecord I’ve heard in the past years.
The General Strike is not a real surprise to anyone who heard Anti-Flag before, nor will it be the release to gain a whole legion of new activists.
Callum talks to vocalist Nick about their new material, the source of rage behind hardcore kids, and Nazi’s.
While IX isn’t the most surprising nor original record of 2014, to me it’s a very strong contender for record of the year and one of the better records the Trail has made.
I think I have an idea. You know the way that sXe pops up in the mainstream media now and again, usually with an article where a clueless journo struggles to come to terms with something they barely fathom themselves, but in a way that is trying to explain it to a totally mainstream audience? … Continue reading Reply To: April Fools
Dude, thats what ‘girlfriend hardcore’ was invented for. Get her into touche amore or la dispute. 😉
This. I think it depends on individuals as to whether or not this is an issue. A girl I used to date who didn’t listen to hardcore felt a bit threatened by the community of … Continue reading Reply To: Girlfriends who dont like hardcore
An experience and a damn interesting release according to Pim.
